I love to read...love, love, love it!!  I love it so much I want to share what books I love and loathe!

Sarah's Key: So I joined a book club (see book post below) and have been reading the books but have not yet made it to an actual book club meeting.  LOL.  Well, the book for July is Sarah's Key and this book really was great!  I cried, I laughed a little, I cried some more.

Orange is the New Black by Piper Kerman:  I joined a book club!!!  For two reasons...I love to read and maybe I can find some fellow jewelry lovers in the process and host a trunk show or two!!  Anyway, the book for June's meeting is Orange is the New Black, a true story of a girl's time in prison.  I found it very interesting, learning about the prison system and how she survived and made do with what she had.  A recommended read.

Mercury in Retrograde by Paula Froelich: I just finished reading this book and it was very good!  There are some parts of it that I couldn't necessarily believe would happen in real life, but it was definitely a good read (especially since one of the character's names is DANA!!)

The Help by Kathyrn Stockett: I didn't want to put this book down - that is how good it was!  I passed it along to one of my reader friends and she agrees!  Definitely one to add to your "Books To Read" list!!

Mini Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella: I would recommend just about any book authored by Sophie Kinsella.  Actually, the whole Shopaholic series kept my interest!  I highly recommend her books...lighthearted, comical, a fun read!

Cleopatra by Stacy Schiff - I tried so hard to get into this book, but could not get past page 36.  I am so interested in learning about Cleopatra but the way in which this book was written has fizzled my desire.  :(  I'm not even going to post the link to purchase this...I have a copy if you'd like.
Cleopatra: A Life

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen: Yet another great read!!

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak: I am torn about this book.  It was very well written, very interesting, but heart wrenching and depressing.  I was curious to see what would happen next so I continued reading but I almost wish I didn't because I got pretty upset.  I leave this recommendation in the air.
The Book Thief

The White Queen by Philippa Gregory: I love all of Philippa's books...this one being the most recent one I have read thus far.  I have The Red Queen in my book basket...I am looking forward to it!!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson:  Great book, great story, can't wait to read the other two in the trilogy!  4/27/11 - The Girl Who Played with Fire...fabulous!  UPDATE: read all three - good trilogy to read!

The Hunger Games AWESOME!!!  I am in the middle of the second book in this trilogy...I can't put it down. UPDATE:  I finished the trilogy....AWESOME!!!!!!!
